Kevin E. Ford is the team manager for a team specializing in the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of industrial and office properties across Utah County and parts of Salt Lake County. From 2008 until present, he and his team have closed over 100 transactions; the deals encompassed the sale or lease of over 1.1 million square feet.
Once joining the Office and Industrial team in 2008, Kevin worked on maintaining an extensive database including landlords, buildings, tenants, and contact information for all office and industrial properties in Utah County. This unparalleled and proprietary database contains more than 6,400 investors, 2,100 buildings, 3,900 businesses, and 8,700 vacant parcels of land. He works on accumulating lease expiration dates from tenants, giving him and acute awareness of when each tenant will be out in the market looking for space. Kevin and his team cold-call and update the team database on a daily basis. This market intelligence allows Kevin’s team to identify leasing and sales opportunities that would otherwise go unseen through public channels of marketing, and puts his team at a very real advantage.
Working at NAI WEST, Kevin possesses several competitive advantages. He has a support staff of over 30 administrative personnel located in Salt Lake, Davis, and Utah Counties. Available at his and his clients’ fingertips are GIS mapping service, advertising and marketing, graphic and design, unparalleled market data, IT solutions, and an Administrative staff of assistants and accountants. Kevin also belongs to one of the largest networks of commercial real estate professionals in the world, with access to information and professionals from around the globe. Kevin has a mentality of constant self improvement through experience in the marketplace, involvement with clients, and continuing education. Outside of work Kevin is actively involved in mentoring a 14-year old from a tough family situation. He has been part of Safety Net Mentoring since February of 2005.
Education
Following his studies at Brigham Young University in Business Finance, Kevin came to NAI as a member of a retail commercial real estate team in February 2008. He started out preparing leases and listing documents, making cold-calls, and coordinating team efforts to work toward closing transactions. He is always pursuing opportunities to further his education.
